To the Editor:
A Curated Collection of Letters
and Opinion Pieces
By Lynn Villency Cohen
What grew out of a passion for writing letters to the editor to local and national newspapers from the early 1980s to 2006 – a pursuit aptly labeled as “old school” – had evolved by 2009 into longer discussions and opinion pieces published by the Stamford Advocate and The Berkshire Eagle.
The letters and opinion pieces cover topics that are part of our national dialogue over the past decade such as, the continual evolution of our cities; pressing environmental issues prevalent in our cities, suburbs and rural communities; relevant discussions of ethics in museum management; and the safeguarding and historic preservation of significant homes and buildings. Whether you live in Stamford, New Haven, Stockbridge, Williamstown, Albany or Syracuse, these are topics you may be pondering.
